I generally leave most of what my FB friends say. Many of them are ultra-conservative, and while I am not, I respect the diversity and leave debates posted on all sorts of topics. The only exception I have ever made was on this years' anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. A friend of mine, a former neighbor from my old town, posted some very anti-muslim remarks, saying that "all Muslims support terrorism in one way or another", and some other totally inappropriate and disgusting things. Our debate on the topic went back and forth, getting heated, but I eventually deleted it all because my father's wife is Indonesian, and although she herself is Christian, many of her relatives are Muslim and are friends of mine on FB.
The irony of that whole story is that while my "friend" was sitting around at home on Sept 11 this year, typing hate and stereotyping muslims as terrorists, my Muslim family members were having a 9/11 Benefit at a non denominational church that very night, raising money for the victims' families and responders of 9/11.
Anyway, that's the only time I had to delete anything, and will continue to delete anything that promotes racism or bigotry. All other general debates I leave for the most part, although I'm sure there are a few other exceptions I would make.
