I always tell my friends and fam. that all my grey hairs have little flags on them at the roots that have someone I love name's written on them but I'm sure if I plucked some out and could find my glasses to read those flags there'd be a few with names
of hard knocks too so I'm right there with ya, my friend!

I freak out when the dogs are barking and I don't see or hear what or why, then to make it worse, my hubby ain't home! I'm now convinced the dogs are barking to get him to come home.

i get freaked out over nothing all the time. right now my dh is out of town so for the last 3 nights i have been captain of locking every door and window and checking them 100 times before bed lol. every time i go out to feed the dogs or shut the coop door i am jumping over shadows...and half the time they are mine.

When the dog starts barking and growling in the middle of the night, yep that freaks me every time. She sleeps on the bed and she doesn't make a noise too often, only when she hears something or thinks she hears something

The other time I freak myself out is when I have to leave the house at 3AM to go to work. Sometimes I bolt to the car and lock the doors fast, especially on those special nights when I hear howling coyote in the no so far off distance

I was reading "Hunting The American Werewolf" and THAT made me jump at everything too!! I think scaring myself must be a disease.

Ha! Well I was going to say everytime I look in the mirror - but that one was taken!

Sometimes I do! Little stupid things, like...when I go out to the barn at night, I start thinking about what if someone sneaks up and kills me....lol! OR When I am walking anywhere in the dark, I walk faster and faster thinking that something could be behind me...

The most recent was last night. I woke up around 3am and looked over DH and saw a big black figure by the door!!!

Then I looked again and realized it was the new coat hanger with our coats hanging on it

There was finally a clear, cloudless night, with all the beautiful stars twinkling away up there. I stood outside, looking at them, and all of a sudden I felt VERY small.

It was like a flashback to my college days, when I was taking Astronomy, and a class of us were up on a mountain with huge telescopes looking FAR, far deep into other universes. The sudden, overwhelming "I'm insigificant!" sensation was exactly like that night. All those years ago, I shuddered and pretended I was just cold.

But this time, I was all alone. In my back yard. I double-checked the chicken coop latches and scurried back inside the house. Dang, I was freaked out.

Every time I go out there when it is dark now I am going to wonder what was pacing around the edge of the light. And THIS time it was crunching snow but how many times have I been watched and didnt know it....yipes....
Oh well, we have gained, I think they said, 106 daylight hours so far, so pretty soon I wont have to go out into the dark at all, for the time being anyway, lol.
