Do you feed indside or outside the coop?

My coop isn't big enough for it inside so they get theirs outside under the covered run. I never put more than 3 or 4 days worth of pellets in the feeder just in case it gets wet...less waste. I have to go outside to feed them their treats and bust up the water bowl everyday....I hate winter....now anyway so I can keep a close eye on it.

Outside in the run. I normally don't ever lock them in their coop at night, so they can come and go in their area as they please.

For me, in the summer and fall, their food stayed out in their run. In the winter and spring, it moved inside due to the tons and tons of precipitation that would otherwise spoil it.

I think it's easier to feed them outside. If they somehow manage to tip over their feeder, or make food fly everywhere while they are eating, the food is still available on the ground for them to peck at and they usually eat it. In the coop, the flying feed gets lost under their bedding.
