Do you have a dog that's good with chickens? Please share!

We have 2 beautiful dogs here... madeline is an English Springer Spaniel/GSP mix. She LOVES birds but, knows what ones are ok to chase and what ones are family!!

Ducky is 100% English Springer Spaniel... He is still in the learning faze BUT, knows they are family and gives them kisses LOLOL

My chickens arent free range but if one gets out, Madeline will herd them back to the coop and the bark to let me know "Hey MA, we got an escape artist!!"

I love dogs!! They are SO funny...

I have 2 labradoodles. I was a little concerned at first until one day when I went into the coop to check for eggs and came back into the run, both dogs had pushed thru the door and were laying down with the chickens all around them. I've had no problems with them from day one. They aren't really interested in the chickens but were allowed to sniff and check them out with supervision when I brought them home as day olds. Maybe that's the answer!

I have a 8 week old red heeler puppy that is great with my chickens and ducks.
