I don't kiss my chickens, but it's not because I think there's anything wrong with that. Why not? I talk to mine, and some people might object to that. They might say: "Don't you know those chickens can't talk or understand you?" Of course I think I know that they can't understand me, but I see no reason to be rude and silent in my dealings with them. If you want to kiss your chickens I say go for it! I may give it a try now just for fun. Oh, my husband kisses the dog all the time. (On the head) He really enjoys the relationship he has with the dog, and the dog seems to get a kick out of all the attention she gets. I think chicken kissing is okay!

I've never thought of kissing one lol, but I could'nt imagine not talking to mine either. Of course, my wife acts like I'm silly.

I would love to answer this............I kiss, hug, pet and cuddle my bantams everyday. I have given them baths in the summer and always use baby powder on them. I just love hugging and kissing those tiny balls of fluff. They are 100% pets, loveable, cuddly and warm. I hug and kiss my bantams roosters, SPUD, VEINS and SPIKE. In the summer, I like to take one or two bantams with me to the park. They are so tiny, I can fit them in my backpack. I also love to take atleast one with me when I go hiking.

No, I just put some paper in there and let them out by me in the park. They are so tame they never go very far from me.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I've been kissing my chickens for over 25 years.

I have kissed chicks before...I kiss my cat everyday and she loves it and kisses me back.

Well...after reading a few of these last posts, I decided to give my hens a sniff. My Comets have a unique smell that is not all together bad, but I will NEVER again put my nose up to a Silkie! Those birds just plain STINK! I love all my birds, but the Silkies will just have to go unsniffed...I hope they don't mind....

Sometimes my birds smell like onion grass, actually quite alot of the time!

But usually they smell wonderfully earthy and fresh. OK, OK, I'll admit, there's been a few times when they smell like poo. Then I immediately put them down and go wash my hands!

I never could understand the urge to kiss animals, don't get me wrong, I love my cat and chickens dearly, but have absolutely no desire to kiss them. Just remember, you animal kissers, there are those of us out there that get completely GROSSED OUT when you kiss your dog or cat on the mouth in front of us (haven't met any outright chicken kissers yet!--what you do in the privacy of your own coop is your own deal!)
