Are you trying to tell me that my secret deoderant powerfulenoughforamanmadeforawoman isn't working?

I have been on BP meds for ten years.... would probably die without it... we cannot buy anything like that over the counter, it must all be prescribed by a Dr......

Earlier this summer I decided not to take any meds, I was cheesed off with always having to take drugs.... result after a week.. I had a mini stroke ... will never do that again.....

High Blood Pressure is known as the Silent Killer..... most people do not realise they have high BP until too late.....

So watch out for constant headaches in the back of the head (they relate to BP headaches) ...

At one point mine was 200/180... the Dr did not know how I was still walking around..... (nearly wasn't!!)

At the moment mine is the lowest it has been in ten years 130/80... am hoping to keep it that way....

Look after yourselves..............

It is the same way here ~ it has to be prescribed by a Dr. If the drug can be sold in a generic form and it is on Walmart's list, you can get it filled in their pharmacy and pay around 4 bucks.

Glad you have your's under control.

It runs high on my moms side of the family.
But everytime I go to the Dr they say its normal or low.

My BP is always really low. My systolic usually falling around 78 or 80, and my diastolic around 50 or 60something. I'm forever having weak, dizzy, blacking out spells.

Mine is really low too, the only time I can get it even that high is when I am pregnant.

huh. Mine seemed to drop when I was preggo

I don't know mine on average. I am very healthy and fit though so I don't really even worry about it.

I did have surgery about 5 years ago and my BP dropped to almost 0 after I was given heavy doses of anestesia due to waking up during the surgery.

Anesthesia meds lower your BP, doesn't mean you don't have HBP. I felt great when my BP was high, I was in shape, ate right, everything. Don't let feeling good lull you into thinking your ok and not checking your BP from time to time.

w/o my first hospital trip it was 205/145

Now I am about 130/85 give or take a few points on either end of the scale.
