Originally all sweet potatoes come from Mexico. The sweet potatoes we buy in the Netherlands nowadays mainly come from the United States, but also from Honduras, Senegal, Spain, China and Egypt.

To stir the pot a little more, Did y'all know that one researcher when finding uses for sweet potatoes actually made paint from them?

Hold the marshmallows and a jigger of honey and one of pineapple juice and bake cut up chunks until tender. Bring them on.

We eat sweet potatoes with just butter on them most of the time. They do not spike blood sugar the way Irish potatoes do.

If you have an air fryer or convection oven sweet potatoes are good air fried with a light sprinkle of salt.
