Do you need a seperate brooder for.....

I'll have at least two seperate hatches about a week apart...Do each of these hatches need seperate brooders?

Also, we'll end up with a mixed flock of purebreed silkies, polish, bantams and standard sizes...can they all co-exist happily or do they need seperate housing?

Shouldn't have a problem housing them together. I've added birds together as much as a month apart with no issues. Good luck.

As far as when they are grown, since they will be brooded together, I wouldn't worry, but if you want to get pure bred eggs from them, then you will definitely need to seperate them eventually. I would watch them though, the standard sized roos could kill a bantam hen, if they try to breed them.
