Thanks, Zane has his daddy's broad chested body type, which is one reason I wanted him to stick around. The other is his winning personality. He jumped on my lap of his own volition this afternoon when I sat on the hammock and stayed with me, with my hand stroking his back, for ages. Even when poufy-headed Olivia jumped up with him, he didn't leave. I had her facing left and Zane facing right, dozing in the sunshine.
Lynn, it must be genetic with Charlotte, LOL! Like mother, like daughter.
Speckled hen everyone else doesn't want a broody. But you and I we are hopeing for one and hopefully we haven't jinksed ourselves by wishing for one. I may be getting two Wheaton amerucana hens from a legendary broody line LOL
Thanks, Carri. As a side note, Miss Charlotte has decided that Coke crate nest on top of the broody pen is THE place to lay her egg and she goes nuts till I open up that door for her to jump up there. She's laid that egg in there three days in a row, LOL.
I've been watching Penny throwing things all over her back, from leaves to twigs to millet sprays...It's the funniest thing...I think it's a camouflage thing...
