DO you sell your eggs?

I sell the eggs. My problem is....too many customers! For now they are $1.50 a dozen, but soon going to $2.00 a dozen. Maybe that will slow everyone down a bit, and I can have a few for DH an me.
I have a big 4ftx3ft sign out front...and hanging from the bottom is an open/closed sign. Right now its closed...thanks to 3 broodys, and a family get together this weekend....I need the eggs! LOL
 
All states are different as to what you can or can not sell without the state getting involved. Unless something goes wrong and you don't tick anyone off, you are selling such a small amount, relatively, that you shouldn't have a problem. BUT... It wouldn't hurt to check online with the state to see what the regs are, I would do it online though, don't call or go in person, yet, as if you go online you can find out without making yourself known.
 
Usually your state's department of agriculture will have the regulation on their website.

Just have to dig to find the darn thing. Both Oklahoma and Texas allow the sell of ungraded eggs from the farm where the chickens are kept without requiring any special permits.

At $1.50 per 12, No wonder you were selling out. At the Save A Lot here in FL. They go for $2.00. That's for mass market chicken eggs. Nothing like the home grown free range chickens like we have!

9.Must an egg producer selling shell eggs at the farmers' market keep those eggs refrigerated? Is the producer permitted to re-use labeled egg cartons bearing another distributor's name and address on the carton?
Eggs sold by the producer must be held at refrigeration temperatures at the farmers' market. This is because eggs are capable of supporting the growth of Salmonella.
The labeling information on a carton identifies the type of egg, size of the egg, grade of the egg, and the name of the responsible party and address. Law does not permit re-using egg cartons or other packaging materials bearing the identity of another producer.
Farmers selling eggs of their own production are not required to hold a separate license at a farmers' market if they are already licensed at their packing location. Vendors selling eggs not of their own production are required to hold a food establishment license at a farmers' market.​
