I never sing to the chickens. I say what are you turkeys doing.( they love that. They all come running) or I call them to what are my little peeps doing. Or I can say treats, and they come running even faster to me than they normally do.
I once read to them. I think they really enjoyed it. I was finishing a book for school( the book was The Chosen, it was a great book. I recommend it to everyone who hasn't read it) I started reading out loud, and they all jumped on the bench( JoJo on my shoulder. She loves sitting there, I don't know why) and they cleaned and listened to the story.

I was wondering if anyone else sings to their chickens, and I found this old thread...I sing to mine as I am closing them into their house for the night, Good Night Ladies...and it ends with 'it's time to go to bed.' Sometimes one of the hens might be lingering outside and I just sing the song and she'll go back in. It works better than trying to shoo them in. Each morning, as I greet them, I sing Good Morning Starshine, sometimes changing the lyrics, and adding chicken related words, and they all begin talking to me happily as they hop out the door. Gliddy glub gloopy, nibby nabby nooby, cluck cluck cluck cluck....
Anyway when I go out of town, my husband takes care of the girls, and I have asked him to sing to them and he does!
