Very happy to say that I still have my 4 original chickens... 1 roo and 3 hens.

The first chickens I got were when I was younger.My favorite one was a barred rock whom I fed a whole stick of butter too and she gobbled it all up,there were 2 black austrolorps very cool birds 2 buff opringtons and some other ones too.When I moved were I am right now there wasnt a coop for them so we gave them to our nieghbors.They past away there from old age and preditors.

i do i had a cat get into pen 1 night while raising chicks and kill all but 1 so we went and bought a rooster when she got older and slept on the porch we then had 2 chickens that stayed on our porch all the time so we increased the flock size to 4 which my dad somehow mistaked 2 roos which were 1yr old with spurs and sickle feahters for hens.... which put us at 3roos and 1 hen and we have slowly been increasing our flock since then with adult hens from auction for $1 each or straightrun chicks from hatcherys this is rly a growing addiction almost as bad as my fish addiction

that is my roo the biggest br i have ever seen he is 15punds and everybody that comes around is just amazed at his size my dad wants to butcher him cuz he is so big but i tell him we need to get more off the amish guy that gave us him so we can breed alot of giants but my dad forgets where he got him
