Do you "talk" to your eggs?

Hey, SciFi, you should add a poll to this thread! I don't know if you can add one after you've posted or not...would be a good experiment & fun to see the results!

I wouldn't think talking to them would increase hatch rate, I was more curious if you end up with friendlier birds. I imagine the mother chicken/duck clucks/quacks to them while they are still in the shell so they get used to her sounds and knows her when they finish getting out. I raise for pets at this point, so I want them to like me.

I do talk my babies before they hatch. And my husband is used to it. lol..

Yep, I talk to my eggs! Why not, after all? Sure, it's maybe a little silly, but the mother hens talk to their babies so why shouldn't I?

Heh...I do everything short of reading them bedtime stories. My brother got upset with me the other day for calling my 4 week-old's kids.

You can never have too many babies!

We were doing it for ages, in fits of giggles, as she thinks hatching eggs are the funniest thing ever!! My husband was sat in the corner hoping nobody called round...
