Seems like a smug comment, Beekissed, without any substance. I read it a few times, tried to make sense of it, and it just never happened. AquaEyes has been pretty open minded about your beliefs, I've seen much more smug comments come out from other users. I don't get why the attempted clever jab at him - (that doesn't make any sense). It's just like, maybe we should all close our bibles and open our minds.

Can it be as simple as God just wanted to make them for our enjoyment? Because they look really pretty in the night sky and we could use them for directional purposes when needed?

I agree... and more than that... Have you read a book called "The witness of the stars"? It is a truly amazing book. All the big events that have been or will be were written by God in the stars as a map of time as well as earth. That's pretty darn cool
