I am an old Earth believer meaning that I believe that our solar system is a few billion years old and the universe is much older. If you were to compare the time that humans have been around to the age of the universe and put it on a calendar then we'd have been around for a the last few seconds on December 31st. In astronomical terms we've barely been around for a blink of an eye. It was only 108 years ago that we had the first powered flight.
In that blink of an eye look what we've learned in the last 50 years. Technology is advancing at unbelievable rates. Where will computers be in 20 years? What will physicists have learned by then. What will have been learned in 100 or even 1,000 years if we manage to keep from destroying ourselves. Will the laws of physics as we know them be the same? Will we have a way of warping space/time to make long distance travel appear faster than the speed of light? It'd be neat to be around to find out but that's not likely to happen.
With that in mind, take any race out there that may exist and give them a couple of thousand year head start and they may have answered those questions and could feasibly have the ability to travel faster than the speed of light. If that is the case then I believe that there is evidence that we have been visited in the past and probably are being observed through the present day.
With billions and billions of stars and planets out there it would be foolish to believe that there is no other life (live?) out there. I dont know at what intelligence level, but even a amoebia or one cell organism would be an alien since not being from this planet. I also believe in the existence of yeti, big foot and skunk ape.
Depends on the definition of aliens. Do I believe there are other life forms besides those that inhabit the Earth? Yes. I believe in angels and the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost...so I would say that I believe in other life beyond this spinning ball, but I do not believe they are living in parallel universes and are equivalent to the life forms found here. So, if the definition of alien is life from another planet in another solar system, then, nope, I don't.
Yes. I think it is just silly that the Universe is so enormous and there's NO other life out there. Doesn't matter if there's a "god" or not - Pretty sure there's other life out there, some of it quite similar to life here. For all we know there may be life out there that isn't Carbon based, or breaths Oxygen. Thankfully Scientists are considering this too, and even looking for life on Methane-rich planets.
