Unfortunately he's only about 6 lbs. right now. He needs to be a bit heavier, but I believe in building the frame before building the rest of the bird. I'm moving the Langshan out of his pen to let him have a chance at growing up a bit. The Langshan doesn't chase him, but he's still a presence. The poor guy hasn't even crowed yet! LOL!

I personally think the pullet will kick his rear, but I have yet to get a good photo of her. She's the same age as him. She's JUST now getting red in her comb. I just figured it's better to give them experience as a youngster, so they won't freak as an adult and tear themselves up.

Do you think he will eventually need 2 cages? I have him housed in one for this show, but I have a feeling he's going to wind up needing 2.

Yes, as an adult, he will need a double coop.

That is AWESOME!!! I've been so depressed seeing all the Barred Rocks at the show only needing one cage (with room to spare)! NOW I'm excited!!
