-30F in Lidgerwood, ND this morning. All chickens & guineas were good this morning and ready to eat.

Saturday is supposed to be a heatwave...30 above
 
omg thats cold its to cold for me here in Missouri. I layered in 2 sweat outfits plus my warm overalls t o stay warm to do my chores this morning it was 6 degrees outside this morning. I fill bad know cause i just stared to wean my bunnies babys from mom.
 
I think I'm going to run some hot oatmeal and grapes down to the chickens as a treat right now. They're huddled together pretty tight.
 
We have school today. It was a tossup whether we'd be open or not. It's supposed to progressively get worse throughout the day. Brrrrr....

Yup. Had the car plugged in all night and it still won't start. Gee, guess I have to stay home and stare at the newest baby buttons.

It was -40F or colder for 14 out of 16 day cold spell here in Fairbanks in early January. It bottomed out at -49F at my house. The chicken coop only got down to -10F. My chickens are real troopers.
