Do you wear special footwear in your run?

I just have some rubber boots that are dedicated for that purpose. Easy to hose off.

So do you all hose off your shoes/boots before going in or always leave them out? Right now I have been leaving the boots in our power shed (a little shed that has all the breakers for the farm electricity) and that's also where the feed is kept (it's right by the coop and run). I have a feeling that once it finally warms up, the boots will be too hot. I hate covered shoes so all I have are crocs, flip flops and birkenstocks (and I'm NOT wearing my expensive birkies in the poop

) But I don't feel like crocs give enough coverage...like stuff will get on my feet on the sides.

Black steel toe rubber boats every time. I leave them at the back door or by the door in the garage.

Nothin but my Barney Boots!!! Mine are black, so it does get a little warm in the sun, but I bet if you used a lighter color they would be fine. Not only do I have to take off my shoes, my family makes me take off an entire layer of my "chicken clothes" before they allow me in the house.

Ahhhhh....what's a little chicken poop?

We take our off in the garage, by the back walk out door, any where outside just not in the house. Occassionally they end up in the mud room by the kids but when they are noticed they are removed immidiately. We rinse and hose off often!!
