Do your chickens come in the house?

All of my chickens....along with 16 babies I"m raising for a friend, live inside my house....but in a birdroom just for them along with numerous parrot and finch species. I must say, I can't wait for all the extras to leave because dealing with the smell of that many chickens is doing me in! Pine shavings help a lot but still.........

Mine can't wander in the house, even with diapers, because my dogs would eat them in a heartbeat. I wish they could tho. The Silkie hens have become so sweet and friendly at 5 mos that they just want me to sit and hold them and pet them. It would be great if they could just hop up on my lap when I'm reading, etc. But, not possible.

My garage is chicken territory. My original hens reailized that it was very safe there especially up on the garage door. (easy to clean too). They lay their eggs in little nests around the garage.

That is funny about being startled by the Buk-Buk

no chickens in the house, but when my mule was a younger filly I use to let her roam free on the lawn. She use to come up on the porch and pop the screen out of the window and stick her head in the house. Several times as people were in and out of the house and the door was left open she made her way in!

Yep, Alexis thinks it's her own personal puppet show! Caught her today laying against the fence side and one of the chicks pecking at her fur!!! Soo cute!!! Here she is peeking over the side one day:

I think it's funny when any of my chickens decides to poke a head in our front door. They always look around curiously and then seem kind of annoyed when they realize, "hey they've got television in here!"
