Do your chickens like bugs/insects?

Mine are super confortable with eating any bugs they see, of course they a 2 1/2 years old and have been with us since they were 8 weeks young. When I see a spider next on he siding of my house. I just lift up a chicken and bring her to eye level of the spider. In a flash, the hen strikes and then snaps it beak while while looking at me for more tasty treats. I can even grab a daddy long legs by a wing and hold it at eye level to the hens. They fight over and gooble it up, leaving just a wing in my fibngers. When I drop the wing, they'll eat that too.

i dont think i have found a bug that they dont like we get crickets from petco they love them

Grasshoppers. Mine adore grasshoppers. And any other bug so far. If it crawls, wiggles or flies, it's a snack.

I agree grasshoppers. Mine not only love to eat them they have fun catching them. I love catching them & throwing them in their run they go bonkers.

My chickens will eat just about anything that moves. I watched one snap a horsefly out of the air the other day and I found that impressive. I showed them where the grasshoppers hang out and have noticed that they've added some of these areas to their forage rotation.
