Do your chickens use their ramp???

Our girls go down it, but rarely go up it from the ground. They'll hop up to the top rung and walk in from there.

Yup. My hens have used it as a lift to their outside perch. Climb up and fly the last foot to the perch.

A banty roo used it a couple of times to nab a reluctant hen

Sorry, off topic, but... Buff Hooligans, is that chicken near the door wearing a decorative bandanna? Did you make it? What a fashion statement!

i have a double decker ramp inside the coop going up to the roost.

they all use it, they hang out on it so they can look out the windows too.

it's fun scraping the poop off of it ...

Mine used it when I first put them outside in the chicken tractor, but then they got big and just hop up. 'Course, it's only a 4" hop to get up into the coop part, so it's not as tall as a typical coop. If I put it back in there, they'd use it but I think they are indifferent.

my door is only about a foot off the ground so they usually only put one foot on it or if its a mad rush to get out someone will just jump out the side.

Well Buff, now that I see how a well dressed chicken should look, I feel awful that I haven't been dressing mine properly. To think they have been going out every morning in this fall weather almost bare naked with only their poor moulting feathers on. I must finish my knitting.
