The vet wants her to eat/drink/take in a whole teaspoon of the powder a day?1 teaspoon with as little water possible because she needs to have the full dose. That's why they didn't specify water
Yes it appears so but they weren't really too bad on her and the other baby. They weren't really around the big chicken too much who was the main carrier so I could only find a couple of lice on the babies but I still soaked them last nightHave you gotten rid of the bugs yet?
Are you going to be able to make it back to the vet's office today before she closes?Yes it appears so but they weren't really too bad on her and the other baby. Well I was hoping for a different doctor but they are able to see chickens and I haven't found too many vets in my area who can see chickensIs this vet chicken savvy?
Ask if she is familiar with the chicken respiratory diseases and make sure you mention your last chicken's symptoms too.
I ask this because a lot of vets are clueless when it comes to chickens.
No, but the doctor is going to call me back to recommend an alternative if I can't get her inAre you going to be able to make it back to the vet's office today before she closes?
I don't know what type of Tylan it is but yes.... I don't syringe her the than though because it's too much to get in her so I let her drink what she wants. The vet wants her to eat/drink/take in a whole teaspoon of the powder a day?
Have them with her again and ask if she needs to be tube fed.She is eating a little herself and I force her to eat. Really encouraging her to eat but I don't force it down her stomach so I don't technically force her to eat lol
That doesn't really make sense to me because one teaspoon of powder has 2500-3000 mg tylosin and I think her daily dose should be about 35 mg. Please ask your vet for more detailed instructions on this.1 teaspoon with as little water possible because she needs to have the full dose. That's why they didn't specify water
It can't hurt to ask againHave them with her again and ask if she needs to be tube fed.

Please do because I can almost guarantee you that she isn't suppose to be ingesting a whole teaspoon of the tylan powder per day.It can't hurt to ask again
