Documenting Day-to-Day Duckie Development

Pics
I think someone was trying to quack this morning. If not, she was sneezing or something. Definitely wasn't a peep. I think it was Peanut.

Is that possible???? They're about 2 weeks old(ish).

Oh - that was noob question #8735795436799865
The White Layers from the Fall Ducklings started to quax when they were two weeks old. Maybe peanut is quixing as a preparation to quax? :gig

Add: That is some of the sweetest time when they start quaxing: »Peep, peep, PEEP! - Quax?«
It is actually Figgy who is quaxing (if that is, indeed, what I'm hearing). I will try to get a video of it later. I am out supervising my chickens at the moment.

Xickens need supervision? - My ducks give me the »stink eye« if i try to "supervise" them… 😆

Too many predators here, and my setup is still not perfect. I have heavy duty netting that will be installed over their chicken yard, but I've been busy with the duckies. I'm hoping to do it tomorrow.

But BELIEVE ME: that rooster resents my presence!

Like my drakes who always try to protect the ducks from me: They are always between me a nd the ducks, except for when i have cat-food. No drake stops the girls from eating their cat-food and the drakes look at me with jealousy…

Day 12 - Saturday 2/20

Tried to get a group shot, but I could NOT get my duckies in a row!
Hahahaha!
See what I did there?!

Oh - and it is quite obvious when they are swimming that their feathers are starting to come in. I can also see the beginnings of tail feathers. It is mind boggling how quickly they grow!

ETA: You can actually see the feathers coming in on Marmalade's back in this picture.
