Last night I noticed a tiny chip close to the end of one of my Ameracauna eggs. It's about the size of the head of a straight pin. I've been so worried that none of the 20 eggs were going to hatch because of the lack of humidity thing - but does it sound like it might be a pip? I am at day 21 as of 3:35 p.m. today. It's sooooo hard being at work today!

And will it be safe to open the 'bator up this evening and look the eggs over/hold them up to my ear?

Yes, a tiny chip.

Don't open the bator if you can avoid it. I know it's hard to wait.

I agree....chicks trying to hatch...also, it sometimes looks like the egg is cracked....lines running.
