I did the short run for when I first started and the stooping got old quik. What I did was, take a tarp with eyelets and bungie it down - un do it when you go in. It was a 4 foot tall dog run that has been turned into my tractor and I got the pen made out of the 6 foot dog run now....its been tweaked to keep preditors out and so far I only had a problem with a couple dogs just scaring the chicks. My next project is making a wire mesh to fit around the outside perimeter of the pen so nothing can dig in. I suspect a snake is my only real issue at this point but they are limited as we have several Road Runners here...really! they are pretty heavy around my area...I see three or four daily. (seperate ones)
