Does a small gosling catch up? Update

I was a chicken person, till I got geese. The geese have such a presence that they have eclipsed my chickens entirely. The ducks are such clowns and it is funny watching the geese disapprove of all the ducky chuckling and wild behavior . . .

I have one gander that was the largest gosling of the 7 that I bought, and he is now by far the smallest gander. His mate is much larger and heavier. Wouldn't have guessed it based on size . . . We also had one small gosling from Metzers . . . it ended up being a girl . . , but was supposed to be a boy. We got lucky there, but it was a surprise. Mine came all banded and sexed, but since I had so many buffs when we took off the bands I forgot who was who till it showed up in their behavior. It is fun watching them grow up! Now if only my grown up geese would produce a gosling this year, so I can get my gosling fix and not wish I could buy more!
