What's the temperature where you are???

In one way it's good for my mental health that it's snow on the trees again, because it shouldn't be spring here at all yet. At least now my mind won't go into "spring mode". :idunno These false springs can be taxing!

I'm really glad we're done with low temps, though. It shouldn't get down to the -20C's again now that the sun is as high as it is! 🌞

Yep we have had the ‘false Spring’ a couple times this year. It’s a big tease!

The other night I looked outside and did a double take as it was still light at 7:45pm! But it’s still miserably chilly overnights. Good for the Maple Syrup run - cold nights and above freezing during the day. Next week or so will be very frosty overnight, down in the -teens overnight. Brrrrr!

Currently though it’s mild for today (and only today!).

+2C (36F) forecast high of +8C (46f), overnight -11C brrrrr!

Definitely here in AB as well. There have been about 3 false springs, it's gotten muddy, then it's frozen.

Currently (10:23 AM) it is 12 F, partly cloudy.

Winter here again.

Currently -5C (24F) and looks like it’s stopped snowing.

Horses were not impressed, poor old girls. I they are stuck up with their heads in the hay hut eating. The grass is covered again.

The chooks have stopped talking to me altogether…

I have my fingers crossed for you and your ladies, @Ponypoor. It's warmed up considerably here, this week. The thermometer says 50 F, but the sun is so warm that if you're out of the light breeze, it feels like shorts weather (at least, compared to what we had last month!) I'm not gullible enough to think that Spring's here for good, yet. Winter still has to have it's "Last Great Hurrah." I fully expect at least one more hard freeze or at least cold, rainy week, but I'm guardedly optimistic that will be that last of this mess. It happens every year. It's kinda like Winter pulls an Arnold Schwartzenegger - "I'm leaving ... but I'll be bach!"
Hopefully, your weather will follow suit ... and Summer won't burn us all out ... Dang, we're never happy, are we? :D

I imagine the wildfire season here out west will be horrendous, they have had very little snow and it’s been mild all winter. Fire season has already started in Alberta, I am already dreading hearing about it.
Same here. I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like this year's fire and flood season could be really bad. I usually send supplies to affected animal shelters after disasters, like the CA wildfires and the Texas floods. We try to direct-donate through local feed stores, too, so maybe people who have lost everything else don't have to give up their family pets, too. I have about fifty handmade cat toys and a dozen leash and collar sets ready for this year's emergencies. Hopefully, I won't need them ...

Ok I won’t!

It’s been so miserable here, damp, cold, freezing up overnight. My migraines have been miserable, and my just getting over RSV and having my horse clobber me (could account for the migraines), I have been miserable.

But the snow is going, slowly. The horses can now access the paddocks so they are happy and the chooks have been running amok in the paddocks also.

This video just made my day!! I think it's the first time I've seen Reenie where she's not flat out and snoring with her head out in the barn aisle!
Spring's comin' girls, hang in there!

29C and raining steadily. 5.32PM of a Thursday evening now. We are between Cyclone Narelle (currently over Karratha, and a thunderstorm over Perth. Both are headed in opposite directions on the coast and coming our way. If they meet at the halfway point life will get very interesting here.
We did have thunder at Midday.
So it would appear that both sides of Aust are having similar weather.
Saying prayers for you and your neighbors - from coast to coast!

Wow 50! Nice! I am so thrilled your evil white stuff is gone, and it’s warmed up for you! Your chooks must be so happy.

I agree Spring will be dragged in kicking and screaming hahaha. But I am looking on the bright side that it’s closer to June than September!

I hear it’s really dry out your way 😞 wildfire season will be bad I think. Different here, too wet.
