Does a watched chicken boil?

My BSL laid her egg sometime between 4:30p yesterday and 7a - technically overnight here in WA State. It was dark both times when I closed/opened the coop.

I'm so proud of her for laying *in* the nesting box, ever over night!

Well, we didn't get to see it but she laid her second egg sometime between 10am-12pm yesterday. No egg there when I went to give my mare her meds and then DD got home early and checked and found an egg in the corner of the coop.

I'm gonna need more hens!
