but since I'm here, I'll add that one reason that Prince Albert tobacco is cheaper than others is because on the label you will see it called "smoking tobacco" instead of "Cigarette tobacco" and that is the one detail which bypasses the major taxes on cigarettes. It is still taxed, but it is taxed as pipe tobacco, and not Cig tobacco (different rates).
also, I have been told (by a fireman - not sure if he knew the truth of it or not) that the fire deterrant in the cigs, now, is a starch in the paper that stops it from burning - it is not in the tobacco itself, supposedly. It does make them taste different (but the tubes for roll your own do not have the starch in them
