Does any one here NOT name their chickens?

I like to name my birds because it's easier to communicate about them. For example, it was easier to say "Lorelei" than to say "the Silver Laced Wyandotte with the single comb" or "Neela" rather than "the blue Rock pullet with the three dark feathers on her back". It's just more expedient. If I just had a bunch of layers as a business or a bunch of meat birds, of course, I would not name those.

I've had about 55 chickens, each with his/her own name and never had a problem remembering the names or telling them apart. The only exception was the big, dark breeder quality RIR hens we used to have. I really couldn't tell them apart so I called each one "Cherry", as in black cherry color, or "Big Red Girl".

My layers don't have names only Lulu, the lame runt sometimes house chicken who is extra-special. Its too hard to remember 20+ names.

I name mine. I have 3, actually my kids named them. Big Bird ( A Serama), Snow Flake (Japaneze White Bantam) And Monster (Silver Sebright Bantam). I wanted to name Monster, Mudpuddle. But got vetoed by pouty looks and sad eyes. I get the next name though and have already decided it will be Pipsqueak if our next bird is another Serama.

I have a GLW hen with double lacing and her name is Guenivere. My Roos are Elvis, Ceasar, and Fancy Pants. My bantam cochin hen is Beatrice. Thats it for names. The aussies all look the same and only one RIR seems to have much for a personality so far. O I take it back, one of my sussex is Tink. Thats all the names we got. They just all run together, the GLW's are really the only breed I have that look much different from each other. But everyone knows when Mom comes outside hollering "Took took tooks!" that they better come runnin so the dont miss out on snacks!

If any of my birds have names they were named by their previous owners or I use the prev. owner's last name differentiate the line of a particular breed. I don't really name my own birds.

No names.....Dh did name our first black orpington roo "Boykin" but then I renamed him "super" when he was about 9 months old.

Only two Nearly Headless Nick, cuz I threatened to chop off his head for egg eating and Frenchy my daughter named. I sold Cowboy Curtiss and Eric. Those were named by family members. I have 30 + some chicks. I don't name them as a rule.

My rooster is named and that was only so I could convince my husband to let me keep a roo. His name is Charlie. My hens are not named though I do know each one and know what to exect from their personalities.
