French lop,
they are big and goofy, more like a puppy,
Flemish,
massive big puppy dogish and learn tricks very easily.( just be prepared for a very large rabbit ( 15 to 20 lbs of live bunny)

Angoras, a nightmare to keep groomed (but worth the effort)

Silver Fox,
naturally shy but can be brought around to a loving sweet tempered animal.

now for the small breeds

Holland lops,
sweet tempered when handled a lot
mini rex,
soft squishy and usually fairly sweet,( there are odd occasions where they have bitten)
netherland dwarf,
fine for most but not small children, very active, alert and quick to scratch and bite. when raised up with constant handling they can be a sweet and calm as the larger rabbits.

again any rabbit is as calm and sweet as YOU make it.

I had a pair of Jersey wooly rabbits for a year and a half. No matter how much I handled them they were not easy to handle. I had neatherland dwarf rabbits when I was a teen and they were so fun to have. So that was why I went with the jersey wooly rabbits.

Holland lops are sweet and funny. They are like having little puppies. They follow me around the house and let my 2 1/2 yr old grand daughter play with them. That is a plus as she just loves our bunnies.

If you "pallapatate" your rabbit in a few weeks you will know for sure if she is pregnant.
What you want to do is cup your hand like a U and feel around just in front of the back legs on the belly. It will feel like marbles in a rope. Those little round bumps are your kits!

From what you described it sure sounds like the buck got the job done!
