Does Anybody Know What Is Wrong With My Rooster's Legs/Feet?

A little off the subject, but how is the ventilation in your coop? He appears to have a frostbitten comb...
That happened on a night when it was like -20.
Our coop has two very large doors that are just made out of metal screening. Lots of ventilation. There is a divider door to separate off half the coop, and we have heave plastic on one of the doors, but it has big rips in it, so the air can still pas through. I also have a heat lamp on them when it gets in the teens. Haven't had any problems at all except the super cold snap that one night. Probably doesn't help that he doesn't seem to sleep close to the lamp.

Hello everyone,
This is our rooster. I was wondering what was going on with his feet. They have been like this for a while. It looks like scaled leg mites, but it goes up his leg, and he has stiff, bloody spots. He stands around a lot, holding his feet up, so I think it's uncomfortable to him. If anybody knows what it is, pease tell me what I can do for it. I was thinking maybe dipping his feet in coconut oil? Also, if anybody has a clue what breeds he may have in him, I would love to hear. I'm pretty certain he is a cross I between a bantam and a large fowl, as he is kind of smaller. Thanks!

He's very handsome:)
I agree with the others. He has Scaly Leg Mites. Check the bottom of his feet as well for any scabbing that would indicate bumblefoot too.

Give his legs a good soaking in warm soapy water, gently brush the legs with a soft brush to help loosen debris. Rinse the legs, then dry them. Apply some type of oil (vaseline, A+D ointment, castor oil, coconut oil, etc) to help smother the mites and heal his legs. Since it looks fairly severe, you may want to soak the legs a couple of times a week in epsom salts and then reapply your oil.

Check him over for any lice on the body. It would also be a good idea to clean out your coop and treat all your chickens with a Permethrin based poultry spray or dust. Since you are in winter, dust would be better.

He's picking at the feet, so watch those sore places for infection.

Thank you!

Thanks everyone!
I can change the bedding on the floor, but the coop doesn't have an actual floor in it, so I can't clean it. They free range everyday, and have access to dust bathing areas also. It's weird, because he is the only one in the whole flock that has this.

Ok.. if you can change bedding how can it not have a floor? What kind of floor is it then?

You can bet the others also have scaly leg mites. Their cases are just not as pronounced.
