We "illegally" do open fires in our yard, but since I know all the firemen in town it's never been a problem! LOL My dad usually always has a fire going (When he is home) and he burns a ton of brush and wood. It's so much fun! I want to see your pictures of your "bonfires"!

We have a fire pit in our back yard and have them all the time. The men in my family are "fire bugs".

It's legal in Florida as long as we aren't experiencing a dry spell and there isn't a burn-ban in place.

I love your fire pit.

I like fire, fire is our friend...
in most of the Twin Cities suburbs you are allowed to have 3'x3'x3' recreational fires. Means only wood can be burnt, no trash or oil and such. makes for a nice evening thing to to. i will have to find a photo around here.

We burn our brush in the spring and it is a pretty big fire. We make sure that the ground is pretty wet so we don't a big risk of the fire getting out of control. We also have a small fire pit in the backyard for evening fires to sit and have a good time. It is a great way to spend the evening.

In January my brother has a party he calls "burning of the green". He goes around town after Christmas and picks up discarded live Christmas trees before the city picks them up and piles them up behind the house. (He is out of town now) He has had over 120 trees before. After dark he has his little welcome speech and sets fire to the trees. Dry Christmas trees burn like you just wouldn't believe. In just a couple of minutes the whole thing is ignited. It is difficult to describe. I'll try to find a picture, but that still doesn't do justice to the drama of the whole thing.
Nice fire pit, by the way. Looks...welcoming.

we have a fire pit on our patio. we have also burnt brush a couple of times but you have to get a permit to do that in our parts. so we try to burn our stuff little batches at a time in the fire pit, no permit needed for that.

We do those too. We just have to call a number and report ourselves and street that we are burning yard debris so the Fire Dept. knows what's up if they get called.

We do, but we just burn in a big barrel, lol. Every time we burn out in the yard someone calls the fire department on us! Our neighbor told us to stick some marshmellows over the fire and they cant say anything!
