Oh how I know that feeling.
I love cows milk, absolutely adore it. Gave up drinking it years ago when it started tearing up my gut every single time. Nowadays all I need milk for is when I have an occasional craving for cereal. Turns out I can't tolerate almonds or soy either; recent diagnosis of ulcerative colitis, so when I crave cereal I have to decide whether the craving is strong enough to make me willing to deal with the aftereffects. That's a really bad attitude to have about it, because ultimately the forbidden foods are damaging my gut whether I have symptoms or not.
What about making oatmeal with banana and berries? That's how I eat mine. I replace the water with soy milk to make it, but you'd have to stick with water. When the liquid comes to the boil, I add a mashed banana and stir it in, then add the oatmeal and cook. When it's done, I throw in frozen mixed berries and stir, to bring the temperature down and to make the berries give up some juice. I don't know what grains you can't have, but the oatmeal I make is a mix of the two below.

That sounds wonderful, but there are times when I just want a quick bowl of cereal to tide me over till suppertime. The way things stand right now I can eat meats (but not too much at once), most veggies, some fruits and that's it. Miss nuts, miss tomatoes (ALOT!), miss milk.
