Does anyone else get annoyed by this?

Eeeee!! I have the purple/yellow combo on my little Cibby too!!

Those 600s were powerful! Beat 1000s in corners anyday. I love them for a light woman's build as well, they streamline more. My husband had the 05 Cibby 1000 red/black yoshi carbon pipes and if I had the 6, he was flogged. My husband used to stunt/race as well (but then again so did I hahahaha).... we're terrible together. Always encourage the other to do wheelies and stuff.........

I love being the tiny girl on the little bike flogging all the big boys in the corners. My tiny little tuchas can fit in that gap baby, what about yours? OH YEAH. TWIST THAT WRIST.

....I'm hyper.

That 600 fit like a glove, didn't it? I could lie down on it, over the tank and it just fit.
Yup, a 128lb girl on a 600 could whip around those big 260 pounders on the 1000s like nobody's biz. of course, most of them would slap after-market pipes on them without getting them rejetted....they lost all the low end power. pity. I would be long gone by the time they found their power up in the tach somewhere.

it never stopped them from trying to catch up though....

these days I'm loving my Dodge 2500 cummins...but one day very soon there will be another bike in the garage.

I learned to drive heavy equipment. I loved the looks on people's faces when they would drive by. There was 4 women on that crew. 2 equipment operators, 1 truck driver and 1 mechanic.

I would say the funniest one was after DH and I got married and we went up to meet a friend of his. A couple of other guys joined us and one made the comment, "I tell my GF she can't drive my truck because women do not understand diesel motors."
Excuse me?

He stood taller then me, but he sure could walk backwards quickly while getting his hind end chewed out. DH and his friend had already stepped back.

Ooooh diss. I would be so mad if someone said that to me, but I'd try to be as quiet as possible.

Yep.. Mom and Aunt drove Big Rigs in the 80's. I was shooting guns and changing tires, oil, learning the inside and out of a car from my brother before I was 18.
I joined the Navy and was one of only 3 women in the Mech shop. I changed parts and did maintenance on 30 million dollar P-3 Orion turbo prop engines.
Here in WI there are alot of women who do their own maintenance, but I still get funny looks when I go to get parts.

What annoys me is the women and some men aren't taught the basics, such as checking tire pressure, how to change a tire/wiper blade/auto light bulb.. OR to check their
battery water levels when its been really hot or cold, oil, trans and even washer fluid.
They don't know that you can use a pair of pantyhose for your fan belt if it comes off or busts. Or that if you get really really desperate that you can use your urine in your radiator.

AND that a GPS will fix everything when you need to drive somewhere even if its in a city you know very well. That is why they made mapquest, google maps, and convenience stores with maps in them
and you really can stop and ask for directions.
I refuse to get a GPS, if I can't go into a store and see a map, I will ask.

Oh yeah, hubbs wasn't taught any of that stuff either. I've noticed his dad doesn't really do any "car maintenance" though, he either gets a friend to fix it when it is already broken, or they trade cars in

But seriously, DH gets in his car every day, drives to work, drives home and goes inside the house. Never a thought to his tire condition, or wiper blades, or any of that stuff he just EXPECTS to work when he turns the key every day. Me, I'm eyeballing my tires every time I walk up to my truck. I know pretty quick if one is low, or has a nail in it, or is getting thin on tread. When I check the oil I check all the other fluids too. Hubbs was running around town on the wires.....and STILL didn't notice that his tires were bald! I kinda look at them for him now that I KNOW he doesn't, but still. I guess I know how my dad felt when I was growing up - him being the only one to ever take care of any of the vehicles.

My mom always claimed she could change tires and change oil - said she did it back in her younger days, but I NEVER saw her do it. One time in high school we had a flat up town (far from home) while dad was at work and she called him from work to come fix it for her! I just can't stand that kind of stuff!! More recently she had a flat when I happened to be with her, and I changed it for her - and her spare was flat too! I check my spare pretty often, just makes sense to me - other people should too! Fortunately we were at the state fair parking lot and they had an air compressor on the other side of the lot for their city vehicles, but what if we'd been on the side of the road? Sheesh!

Hunting, fishing, motorcycles (loved my Honda CBR), did trucking, landscaping (stonework is a fav!)....was the only girl in HS in metal shop. I have more power tools, yard equipment, and handtools in my big rolling mechanic box than I dare admit.
Yeah, where are those guys? I need a sandwich....

Hey sis!

I love doing stone work!

Well, my HD is fast, because of the extra engine work done on it and cause I'm light, .. but not fast like yours! I like HD, I think the sound has something to do with it, but I just love to get on and cruise! (1555 cc)

So what is the meaning of the hamr 1 ??
I was in the same squadron as MC Hammer, just before he left and launched his career!! LOL

Girls with CBR's? Cool! I got a classic 87 Hurricane CBR1000. So freaking fast and bone stock except the paint. I am going to sell it though, I don't seem to enjoy it without breaking the law. Too much temptation for my nature. My boss would not be happy if I got a ticket doing 150+ either.
