Does anyone else have a duck that’s just a really good boy ❤️

This will be long but bear with me
I have 9 ducks (one will be irrelevant to this story)

Julie F 3yr
Goose F 2yr
Ducklette F 2yr
Pip squeak F 2 yr
Big bird M 2 yr
These 5 are one group that stay together

Mazie F 1yr
Ash M 1yr
Phoenix M 1yr
Tweety bird (irrelevant)
This is the other group

All these birds are free range and share the yard together but stay in their own groups for some reason. I also am aware there’s too many males, ash and Phoenix will be separated.

Anyways. Ash and Phoenix are crazy maniacs when it comes to mating they have no mercy. Mazie doesn’t even want to mate with them and neither do the other 4 girls. But that doesn’t stop them from trying but here comes the really good boy, big bird! Every time ash or Phoenix are trying to mate with any 5 of the girls big bird races over and grabs the boy pulls him off and chases him away. But never tries to harm them. He’s constantly protecting all the girls from these crazy boys and it always makes me so happy to see. Even when ash or Phoenix keep trying over and over big bird doesn’t give up he’s always going to get them off and send them away.

Lol the funny part for my good boy is that last year he was a heavy mater and now he’s not really mating at all and he’s just protecting them
