My husband about fell off his chair laughing when I told him what I heard. Of course I also tell him all about everything they do and occasionally imitate the noises they make.
Yep, not only is chicken keeping addictive it can make you do strange things.
My EE growls to keep all the other hens inline when she wants them out of the coop she GROWLS very loud freaked me out the first time I heard it, I had to hide around the corner to see if she was really making that awful noise. Now I think it is pretty funny she seems to do right before I find her egg each day.
Almost as to tell the other hens.... Get out of my way I have important business to do.. LOL
I just love the idea of a baby monitor in the house! I'm SOOOOO copying that!
I have 5 BR that coo and make all sorts of noises (too new to know what's normal) but one makes her own set of noises particularly when she's being held- the closest I can come to describing it is clean fingers rubbing a wet wine glass. Like she's cleaning windows! Very distinctly different from the others...George is a weird one, though, probably to do with the kids giving her a boy name...
