Does anyone feed their chicks bird suet?

I make homemade suet--using lard--and I was wondering if for any reason this would be harmful for my chickens.

Suet can be especially good for the winter, as a once in a while treat.

I've never offered it to my chicks, but hang some as a treat in the winter for my layers. They love it!

I haven't given them suet but they're birds I'm sure they'll like it. I DO soak bread in the bacon grease after I make bacon for the family and give THAT to the birds and they are wild for that stuff. Have to chop it into chunks so there's no fighting over it. I also pull the skin and fat off my ham and give it to the girlies and that disappears so fast you wouldn't believe it.
