Does anyone have funny quirks about themselves like:

definetly vertical on the lightswitch thing because the dust is less likely to settle in it.. I can't stant to touch things other ppl touch...like vending machines or the machine at the checkout that you have to press the buttons.. Everyone in the world touches that stuff or door knobs etc... I carry wipes and Purell hand sanitizer...I can't have music on. I can hear really well and additional noises drive me crazy. I can taste corn syrup in anything(dressing etc) ... (yuck) and I can taste nutmeg in anything...It tastes like metal to me. (yuck) I am magnetic and my body energy turns on appliances like the tv and any car I drive the electronics in the dash fail within the first week or so... speedometer etc.. (that one kinda sucks) My computers don't last long either.

OK Geebs, that is too weird. Magnetic? No disrespect intended at all! How do you deal with that? How did you figure that out? Has it been this way your whole life? You don't really have to answer all those questions in public but that really is very......different. I asked for quirks and that's definately quirky!

-I don't like dirty dishes my sink and they have to be done before I go to bed.
-Can foods have to be stacked in 3's and lables out. It drives me nuts to look in the cabinets and someone has moved something.

-I can not keep anything in my pockets it all goes in my bra. DH gets so mad when we go somewhere and I have to pull my keys, money, phone etc from my bra

. Hey if someone is going to rob you dont they ask for whats in your pockets. They dont ask for what in your bra.
-I have to make the bed and make sure the counters are clean before leaving for work.
-The drawer where my foil and sandwich bags go has to be in order...foil to the left long ways, gallon bags beside that, quart bags beside the gallon bags, sandwich bags beside the gallon bags and snack size bags last. Then the pot holders on the right of everything.
-Cloths are hung up in order all together...pants--jean with jean dress pants with dress pants, shirts--long sleeve with long sleeve and short sleeve with short sleeve and shorts.

Call me weird.

HaHa I know how this is. Everytime my mom gets mad and flips a light switch it blows a bulb. My dad also tells the story over and over about how his favorite watch stopped when she touched it while mad at him. They tried new batteries and took it in to get fixed and it still didn't work. He's convinced she is a witch or something.

I figured out last night that I'm deadly afraid of lightning and thunderstorms............when I've been woken up by them!

I usually don't mind them but if they happen in the middle of the night and they wake me up, I will all the sudden begin shaking and my heart will begin beating really fast and the lightning flashes outside my window scare me so bad that I have to hide my face under the covers so I don't have to see them.

Last night was especially scary for some reason. It was around 1:00am and a huge roll of thunder shook the whole house and woke me up from a deep sleep. I thought it was a bomb or something! Then I realized that it was thundering. Anyways, the thunder was SO loud that I could feel the entire house trembling with each long, rumbling sound it made.

My baby chick, Ivory, was in his brooder box and I suddenly realized that I should probably shut off his light because for some reason I fired a bolt of lightning would come in through the outlet and strike him.

But my room was dark and the thunder was rolling loudly outside so I was too scared. But I guess my need to protect Ivory overcame my fear because eventually, I waited until a loud roll of thunder ended before I leaped out of bed, unplugged the light, and jumped back in so fast. I slipped under the covers and just laid there, still as a rock, half expecting a lightning bolt to strike me or something. I was so scared that my heart was pounding against my chest and and I was breathing hard and my room felt really humid and suffocating.

I stayed under my covers, even though it was really warm under them because it was a warm night last night (which is probably the cause of the huge thunderstorm). I finally fell asleep but then I suddenly felt this strange shocking feeling that I could imagine what it would feel like if a current of lightning went through someone, and I honestly believed that I had been struck by lightning!
th.gif
I couldn't move or anything for a few seconds and when I finally could, I could feel my heart pounding like I had just sprinted a mile. I honestly thought that maybe a bolt of lightning had jumped from the outlet near my bed and passed through me. I even thought I could hear strange voices outside of my bedroom and I was just terrified!

And guess what I was thinking the whole time? I was thinking that I had been struck by lightning and was gonna post it on BYC as soon as I woke up in the morning. Strange what you think when you're half asleep!

But now that I think about it, I think I might have dreamed about being struck by lightning. But it felt so strange and real. I must have imagined it after I fell asleep.

So yeah, a really frightening and strange night it was.

Anyone ever have a similar night fright when it's thundering and you're suddenly awoken from a deep sleep?

Oh and I can't stand static hair, when it's all puffed up and sticking to my hands when I try to pat it down.

And I hate frizzly hair, too.

I am hot all the time
I MUST have the window open EVERY night or
have a fan blowing on me
MUST stick my feet from under the covers or I will melt into a puddle

Must be doing something, cannot sit still for very long, the only way I manage it while watching TV is that I sit in a rocking chair.

Ooooh, oooh, oooh!

Only other weirdo knitter people wil get this:
If I'm working stockinette, I MUST stop on a purl row. I think it's a leftover from when I was teaching myself to knit and couldn't always figure out whether to knit or purl the next row, and I DID NOT LIKE ripping out.

Quote:
OMG I do that! I was working on a scarf that called for stockinette and I was getting so frustrated that I couldn't remember what to start with so I began doing that too. Course I have to write down that I stop with purls on the sheet or I will somehow mess that up too.
