Does Anyone Have One Goose For A Pet?

Oh Toulouse does wonderful! She took to our Ancona Duckling right away and now they are best friends. None of my birds even pay attention to our goats and pig. I don't let the dogs out while my birds are free ranging just to be safe. But all my birds get along just perfect, it seems I got lucky in that department. I haven't once had a problem introducing a new bird.

LeciaBee, I am so sorry that your goose came from such an irresponsible person to cage a goose until it damaged the wing. GOD bless you for rescuing her from this person. Sounds like she is well on her way to happiness! Which is what they deserve.

As promised, my girl, Toulouse. She isn't even fully feathered yet. I am trying to get the picture of her feathers uploaded.

It finally let me add the picture! This is just a small section on her wings. But you can see the grooves from the cage in the quill and some on her feathers. I hate picking her up and feeling all the bumps and grooves.

Well bless her heart, hopefully once she molts those feathers out you won't see of feel that anymore. she is very pretty.

The guy told us she was an African but I didn't think that at all. We figured she was a Toulouse and named her Toulouse either way lol :D I am working with her to get her used to us and not so scared.

What a cutie she is! Boy you can tell she was in rough shape from her past owners neglect. Just give her lots of love because she deserves it, since the last owner looks to have really neglected her.
I also looked at her wing feather's as she molts those nasty ones will fall out and she will have a chance to grow better feather's in hopefully....

I hope they come back looking beautiful when it is time! I give all my animals as much love as I can. It can be challenging since Rj23 and I have 24 chickens/roosters, 4 guineas, 1 turkey, 1 goose, 9 ducks, 1 pig, 2 goats, 2 ferrets, 3 dogs and 4 cats. I have a bunch of people, who don't get the "countryfarm life" I had back in Alabama, tell me I have too many animals and they don't get the point in having chickens or anything like that. But 1-I have plenty of room for everyone. Nobody lives in cramped quarters or any filth, 2- I really miss the life back in Alabama and atleast I have all my animals to help me adjust from being so far from home! Everybody is treated with respect and get all the love I can give.
