Does anyone have "RAISED" Chicken Coops?

Kuntrygirl....I love the raised/open air coops....question: what do you do when it rains? do they just get wet? I know you have a roof but rain doesn't always fall straight down....what about when it is very wendy? sounds like a crazy question but I thought chickens needed to be out of the wind and rain... moving 25 chicks to a open/air A-Frame coop...do I need to worry about rain...opening faces the east...

Thank you.

It never rains inside. The way I have all of my chicken coops/house/stalls, they are in close proximity of one another as well as having a lot of trees. This prevents any rain getting inside. Everything is always dry.

Living in Louisiana, we have pretty good temps. During the times when we have possible hurricanes, I cover all coops with tarps so there is no chance of heavy rains or wind.

Before anything is built, we take into consideration our weather and where to build.
