bake homemade bread on a pizza stone?
If so... Please elaborate
What info are you looking for? I use a pizza stone for italian bread.....
There's not much to it. You make a good dough with a little bit more flour (I don't measure these things, it's just "some" until it holds in a ball), sprinkle cornmeal on pizza stone, pre-heat the oven w/ pizza stone in it, then put the ball of dough on the stone and bake as usual.
I use a terra cotta planter saucer (no lead, I swear!) per Alton Brown's instructions.
Go to foodbetwork.com and search for "a very basic bread" for more how-to info.
