Does anyone know anything about Scalex?

The ER physician I saw after my ONLY chicken dusting episode told me to use the 3M tekk 8210Plus masks, available in paint stores. They are rated N95 and work well. I get them in boxes of ten and wear one for cleaning the coop and other nasty dusty chores like that. I wasn't hospitalized but didn't have a good time. Mary

Hi
Thank you for the great information and sorry to hear about your bad experiences. I will go now and buy these mask.

Thank you so much!

I'm pretty sure my one of my birds has feather mites(which means they all do, I'm sure).
My question is this: Does anyone know anything about Scalex? I have some and since I am having to treat almost 40 birds by myself, thought this might be easier than trying to dust them all(I am very concerned about ANY chemicals near my birds, but since I have to do something, trying to determine the lesser of 2 evils).
Any input would be very much appreciated.

ETA: I also have some Poultry Protector which is supposed to be non-toxic and can be sprayed directly on my birds, but I really don't know if it is effective.

I use scalex as the breeder I got my polish from recommended it. It works very well and doesnt smell toxic.
