does anyone know how to stop your hen being broody..?

Broodyness is caused by a raised body temperature (due to hormones). I've heard of putting an ice pack underneath her.

I just let my girls be broody, even if it does cause irritation amongst the other girls trying to use the same nestbox.

I have read that you take her off the nest and carry her around while you are doing your chores and then put her down in the coop or run.

Or put ice under her.

Good luck.

I put them in a wire cage up off the ground, if your hen has been broody for 3 day it will take 6 day to break her, thats just an estiment, but it give you an idea how long it will take, also if you break her she might be back at it in a month, somr time its just better to let them go for it.
