Does anyone know if chicken saddles prevent hawk attacks?

It would be very interesting indeed, but ... how would you even set up a study like that?

Just gonna try it for now, and hope for the best. We have a lot of hawks around here, so they're bound to give it a go if they feel like these saddles aren't scary to them at all. Will let everyone know.

I'm a newbie, all the way from Scotland, we have issues with Red kites and buzzards. I've had allsorts taken over the years, my solution is never to have light coloured hens/ducks....never been a problem since and we have a nesting pair of kite in an old chestnut tree about half a mile away.....

I can tell by your posts that you 3 are all amazing people- and the love is always welcome. I'll keep updating on how the saddle aprons work out. Still waiting on the rest of the materiel though. Happy Hump Day!
