Does anyone know this breed or gender?

My daughter thinks we have five girls and one boy I think we have five boys and one girl. My other flock is all girls

These are Cornish X chicks. They reach butchering age at 8-9 weeks old. They cannot be kept as pets, as they become so overweight they can no longer walk. They also develop severe health issues and often pass of heart attacks.

I'm sorry this happened. Tractor supply really needs to provide more information or at the very least warn people. This happens repeatedly to people every year a this time.

Some people here will tell you you can keep them on a diet, or exercise them, but it only extends their suffering. If you cannot butcher them please find someone who will.

I think they're more around 3 weeks old. Definitely sticking to being meat birds. Look like pullets so far but o dont feel that matters with meaties

I have no clue about those shanks. Very strange, but they do look to be Cornish Xs... I also agree with your gender guesses and that genders don't really matter though for this breed :/

I must already be a horrible chicken mom. I believe they are only nine weeks. I might be off by one week.

They look younger than 9 weeks.
They look kind of like Cornish X to me.
Can you post pictures of each individual chick? It will be easier to tell the genders that way.

I agree with the others. They're younger than 9 weeks and meat birds, which means theyll need to be butchered around 8 weeks.
