Many thanks folks. He is a free chicken and because it was free I have no doubts it isnt a top quality bird. But he is the wifes "pet" and pleasing to look at. I have an Australorp roo for breeding replacement hens should the need arise. So the wife has her eye candy and my recommendation not to name the rest. Incidentally, the Australorp roo's name is "Princess" which was named by our daughter with mental retardation. I didnt have the heart to tell her Princess is actually Prince.
