Does anyone know which hatchery TSC uses?

I'm thinking of picking up some Cuckoo Marans from TSC (dang them for having chicks right now!!).
I asked what hatchery they used and all the girl could find on their computer was Privett, Hoover and 1 other I cant remember the name of. I haven't heard from any of them. I wanted to check into them and see what color egg their CM lay. My last CM laid dark chocolate and I didn't wanna be disappointed if they lay a lighter brown.

Usually they use Hoover's but occasionally people have bought birds the that came from other hatcheries.

I would not count on any hatchery Marans to lay chocolate eggs.

It varies by location, the store manager can tell you where their chicks come from

Hatchery cuckoo Marans might lay slightly darker eggs, but very likely not chocolate. My wheaton Marans hens from Cackle do lay very nice dark eggs. Usually the clean legged cuckoo Marans don't, while the French Marans with feathered legs will do better. Mary

Last time I inquired in my area (several years ago) the manager told me Privett. You're best to speak to the local manager. If they can't or won't tell you, take your business elsewhere.

I used to have a few clean legged CM and they laid very dark eggs.

Yeah, I think Ill skip buying them from TSC, Id rather get them from somewhere where I'm sure they'll lay those gorgeous dark eggs. Its just so hard to go into TSC when they have chicks and not get any!! haha.

I ordered Coo Coo Marans, along with other chicks from Strombergs, in March. Some of them have started laying very small eggs. That is two weeks early from the 21 week gauge.
