I don't particularly care for my Golden Buffs from Meyer Hatchery. In my opinion Townline Hatchery's ISA Brown are the best bird for laying abilities and temperament wise.
I love my Comets. I've had a few that were gold and some that were closer to red, so probably not the same original breeds doing the mixing. They've been my friendliest birds, even the ones adopted from bad situations, as well as good egg layers, though boy do they hang around the feed trough
Btw, does anyone know if the buff-colored comets are typically bred from a RIR roo and a white leghorn hen? Or another mix?
