This little girl (or guy) was dropped off to me today. She was hatched in April for some sort of class project, and I agreed to take her in. I would love to hear some ideas about her possible breed. She is black, mottled with white, has a bit bit of a crest forming, and has lightly feathered legs. You can't see it well in this photo, but she has very beautiful violet patches near her ears. She definitely looks very regal, and I wouldn't be surprised if she is a show breed, but I have no idea.

Well I know what it is... its a CUTIE. What else do you need to know lol kidding. I have no clue but sure is cute.

Definately a Silkie cross...purple earlobes, feathered legs and crest.

the color of black and white penciling, and spangles, it tells me is a silver spangled hamburg or columbian or birchen colored bird, or something related to it....the comb looks different.

Thanks. I know nothing about Silkies. I sincerely hope it is not a cockerel, since my neighbors (and the law) have zero tolerance for roosters.

I don't see any polish in there. A silkie polish cross would have a much larger top hat. She looks similar to my silkie sebright cross and I'll bet you get some eggs pretty soon!
